The purpose
of this site is to provide access to information about Wedmore, Somerset,
England.
I bought a copy of Rev. Hervey's "Wedmore Chronicle Vol. 2"
in August of 1999.
This book, a compilation of articles that he wrote in the 1800's, got
me thinking about how
I could share this with other people who had an interest in the topics
discussed.
Eventually I found the baptism, marriage and burial records that Rev.
Hervey had
transcribed. At that point I knew we had to make a web site for this
information to be made available.
My Mother
and her husband, Arnold were kind enough to volunteer their time and
energy
to start working on the transcripts. They worked for months on the three
volumes, while
I proof read their work and scanned Vol. 2 of the Chronicles into the
computer.
Who am
I?
My name is Michael Tutton...if you go to the Tutton Family Tree you
will know about my family line.
I am 36 years old, living in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I work for
Hudson's Bay Company as Manager of Corporate Communications.
I spend a lot of time on my family tree, but I also play with a band
(Marni And The Men),
and do photography in my
spare time.
I married the lovely and talented Christine Liber on January 19, 2002.
Why do
I do this site?
I do the web site because I have information that can help others with
their research.
However, I do get something out of it. By creating this web site I am
able to find out about
links that people may have to my family...I therefore am able to work
with others on my
research...the web site helps me to find others with the same interests,
while helping them at the same time.
